The Dwarf Pencilfish "Super Rot Amaya" wild-caught (Nannostomus amaya) is an exceptionally vibrantly colored dwarf pencilfish from South America. Its glowing red body coloration, combined with its delicate body shape and fine dark lines, makes it a true highlight for sophisticated nano and blackwater aquariums.
Especially in larger groups, this rare wild-caught fish displays calm and elegant swimming behavior. In naturalistically decorated aquariums with subdued lighting, the intense red tones unfold their full effect and create an impressive atmosphere.

The Super Rot Amaya readily accepts fine frozen food, Artemia nauplii, cyclops, as well as high-quality microgranules and dust food. A varied diet supports its intense red coloration and vitality.

Humic substances, dark substrate, and low lighting particularly intensify the glowing red tones and promote natural behavior.
