The dwarf loach (Ambastaia sidthimunki), also known as the chain or reticulated loach, is a fascinating wild-caught species from Thailand and Myanmar. With its distinctive, chain-like pattern and lively yet peaceful nature, it is one of the most popular small loach species.

This species is social, active, and peaceful, ideal for planted aquariums with soft sand substrate and plenty of hiding places. In groups of at least six, it displays exciting social behavior and harmonious schooling movements.
