Particularly striking are the high-contrast black transverse stripes on its golden-orange body, which give this extraordinary fish its distinctive zebra pattern.

As it matures, the Zebra Distichodus develops an impressive appearance and active swimming behavior. In generously designed aquariums, this rare wild-caught specimen quickly becomes an absolute eye-catcher.

🍽️ Feeding:
The Zebra Distichodus readily accepts frozen food, mussel meat, insect larvae, vegetable food, and high-quality granulated food. A varied diet supports growth and color development.

Large open swimming areas, strong filtration, and robust decoration are important for long-term successful keeping. Plants are often eaten and are only suitable to a limited extent.
