The Goliath Tigerfish is an absolute anomaly among freshwater fish. With its massive physique, extremely sharp teeth, and enormous muscular strength, Hydrocynus goliath is considered one of the strongest predatory fish ever. Its shimmering silver flanks combined with its aggressively shaped head give it an impressive, almost prehistoric presence.
This species is extremely active and requires enormous tank dimensions, strong currents, and excellent oxygen supply. Due to its pronounced hunting instinct, its ultimate size, and its strength, the Goliath Tigerfish is only suitable for very experienced aquarists with professional equipment.
