The Polka-dot Loach (Botia kubotai) is a particularly attractive wild-caught species from Myanmar, known for its unique, star-shaped spot pattern and its peaceful and active behavior. Its striking pattern develops further with age, making it a true eye-catcher in the aquarium.

This loach is sociable, curious, and active. In groups of at least five fish, it displays exciting social behavior and actively explores the substrate. Ideal for well-structured aquariums with sand substrate, roots, and hiding places.
