- Size: Can reach up to 8 cm in length
- Light Requirements: Moderate to bright light
- Water Movement: Moderate to strong water flow
- Temperature Range: 24–28°C
- pH Value: 8.1–8.4
- Salinity: 1.023–1.025 SG
- Diet: Omnivore, prefers meaty foods such as Mysis shrimp, krill, and algae, but also smaller fish and detritus
- Care: Relatively easy to care for, but sensitive to poor water conditions. Needs hiding places such as rocks or reefs to feel secure
- Reproduction: Eggs are laid at regular intervals and develop through a larval stage in the water
- Special Features: The Blue Boxing Shrimp is particularly striking due to its vibrant color and prominent claws, which appear very large compared to its body.
