The Silver Moony is a striking fish species with a silvery, rhomboid body that lives in brackish to marine water and is well-suited for larger aquariums.

Care Instructions:

• Size: Up to approx. 25 cm

• Water parameters: Temperature 24–28 °C, pH 7.2–8.5; brackish water recommended (slightly salty)

• Food: Omnivorous – a mix of plant-based and animal-based food, e.g., flakes/granules + live or frozen food

• Behavior: Social, schooling fish; at least a small group recommended, sufficient swimming space needed

Notes on Keeping:

• Requires a spacious aquarium due to active swimming behavior

• Pure freshwater is not recommended long-term; brackish to marine conditions preferred

• Keeping in groups of 6 or more animals reduces stress and displays natural schooling behavior
