Care instructions:
-
Size: Up to approx. 25
-
Water parameters: Temperature 24–28 °C, pH 7.2–8.5; brackish water recommended (slightly salty)
-
Food: Omnivore – mixture of vegetable and animal food, e.g., flakes/granules + live or frozen food
-
Behavior: Social, schooling fish; at least a small group recommended, requires sufficient swimming space
Keeping notes:
-
Requires a spacious aquarium due to active swimming behavior
-
Pure freshwater is not ideal long-term; brackish to marine conditions preferred
-
Keeping in groups (6 or more fish) reduces stress and promotes natural schooling behavior
