Pseudochromis fridmani is one of the most popular dwarf basslets in reef aquariums. With its clear, deep violet hue and calm, elegant swimming style, it appears noble without being obtrusive. As a captive bred specimen, it is particularly robust, readily eats prepared foods, and is significantly more stress-resistant, which makes acclimatization very reliable.
It likes to stay near caves and crevices but usually remains clearly visible and exhibits pleasant, socially compatible behavior. In suitable tanks, it appears harmonious and calm.
Advantages of captive bred specimens:
• Very good acclimatization
• Reliably eats frozen and dry food
• More sustainable alternative to wild-caught
• Calm, well-tolerated dwarf basslet
Care:
• Well-established reef aquarium
• Structured rockwork with small hiding places
• Ideal as a pair or in a small group with sufficient visual barriers
• Prefers peaceful tank mates
A calm, intensely colored classic – and as a captive bred specimen, a particularly recommended, sustainable choice.
