Mithrax sculptus – Emerald Crab

The Emerald Crab (Mithrax sculptus) is an exceptional and very useful crab species for saltwater aquariums. With its vibrant green, finely structured claws and long legs, it is not only a fascinating sight but also plays an important role in the aquarium's ecosystem. It is known for its ability to eat algae, thus helping to keep the aquarium clean.

Special characteristics:

• Color: Light green to olive green with a fine structure on its carapace, giving it a "spiderweb-like" appearance
• Size: Can grow up to 7 cm
• Behavior: Peaceful towards other aquarium inhabitants, but territorial towards its own species
