Meiacanthus kamoharai displays a clear, elegant coloration in white and black with a subtle, bluish shimmer. It appears alert, calm, and is often highly visible moving around the tank. As a captive-bred specimen, this blenny is particularly robust, readily accepts food, and is more stress-resistant, which significantly eases acclimatization and makes it very attractive even for modern reef tanks.
It fits excellently into peaceful reef communities and exhibits pleasant, socially compatible behavior.
Advantages of captive breeding:
• Very good acclimatization
• Readily accepts frozen and dry food
• More sustainable alternative to wild-caught specimens
• Calm, compatible behavior
Care:
• Well-established reef aquarium
• Open swimming space + small hiding places
• Ideal as a pair or in a small group
• Very well combinable with peaceful tank mates
A simple, elegant eye-catcher with a calm demeanor – and as a captive-bred specimen, a particularly recommendable choice.
