Marbled Dolphin Catfish (Ageneiosus marmoratus)

The Marbled Dolphin Catfish is a fascinating, elongated predatory fish from South America that immediately catches the eye with its unique body shape and its eponymous "dolphin-like" silhouette. Its marbled pattern makes it a real eye-catcher, while its calm yet determined behavior makes it an exciting inhabitant for larger aquariums.

Ageneiosus marmoratus prefers to stay in open water areas and displays its most beautiful colors especially in dimly lit conditions. Despite its predatory nature, it usually remains calm towards tank mates of similar size, but will eat anything that fits into its mouth.
