Leopard Pufferfish (Tetraodon schoutedeni)

Originating from the Congo Basin in Central Africa, the Leopard Pufferfish captivates with its distinctive leopard pattern. It is suitable for experienced aquarists who can provide an appropriate freshwater aquarium.

Care Instructions:

• Size: Up to approx. 7–10 cm

• Water Parameters: Temperature 25–30 °C, pH 6.5–7.5, soft to medium-hard water

• Food: Meaty foods such as snails, mussels, live or frozen food; important for dental care

• Behavior: Relatively peaceful; prefers solitary housing, small groups (3–5 animals) only with sufficient space and hiding places

The Leopard Pufferfish requires a well-furnished aquarium and is only suitable for experienced aquarists. When kept properly, it displays its typical behavior and becomes an attractive focal point in the tank.
