The L400 Hypancistrus (Hypancistrus sp. "L400") is a rare, high-contrast L-catfish from the Rio Curuá in Brazil. With its distinctive black and white stripe pattern, it resembles the well-known L066, but appears finer and more uniform in its markings – a true gem for any aquarium.
The L400 remains compact with a final size of about 10–12 cm and is known for its peaceful, calm nature. It is crepuscular, loves shady retreats, and displays particularly intense colors in well-structured aquariums.
