The Hummingbird Tetra (wild-caught) (Trochilocharax ornatus) is an exceptionally small and rare dwarf tetra from South America. Its delicate body shape, fine silvery sheen, and hectic, agile swimming behavior indeed evoke a small hummingbird underwater.

This peaceful wild-caught fish is ideal for nano, blackwater, and natural South American aquariums. Especially in larger groups, the Hummingbird Tetra exhibits fascinating schooling behavior and brings a lot of life to the upper and middle water zones.

The Hummingbird Tetra requires very fine food such as Artemia nauplii, cyclops, powdered food, and fine frozen food. Several small feedings promote health and vitality.
