Hymenocera picta (elegans) - Harlequin Shrimp - PAIR!

The Hymenocera picta, also known as the harlequin shrimp, is a particularly beautiful and fascinating species. These shrimp feed exclusively on starfish, including the small, sometimes bothersome Asterina starfish (cushion starfish). If there are no more starfish in the aquarium, the shrimp could starve. They are particularly beautiful to observe when kept in pairs, but single keeping is also possible.
