The Hydrocynus forskahlii, also known as the "Tigerfish," is a large, predatory freshwater fish from Africa. It is demanding to keep and only suitable for very experienced aquarists.

Care Instructions:

• Size: Up to 70 cm or more

• Water parameters: Temperature 24–28 °C, pH 6.5–7.5; very good oxygen supply required

• Food: Carnivorous – smaller fish, crustaceans; active predator

• Behavior: Very active, territorial, fast; sensitive to tanks that are too small or incorrect co-housing

Keeping Notes:

• Minimum aquarium length: approx. 250 cm, the larger the better

• High-quality filtration and good water circulation necessary

• No small fish as tankmates – they will be considered prey

• Only suitable for experienced aquarists

• 8-10cm when delivered
