The Boeseman's Rainbowfish (Melanotaenia boesemani) is one of the most popular rainbowfish species. It originates from the clear lakes of West Papua and captivates with its striking two-toned body coloration – an intense blue in the front part of the body and a vibrant orange to red in the rear section.

This species is peaceful, active swimmers, and social, ideal for large, planted community aquariums with plenty of open space. When kept in groups, the fish display their most beautiful colors and harmonious, lively social behavior.
