The Halichoeres timorensis is an attractive and active wrasse with distinctive markings and lively behavior. It tirelessly scours the aquarium for food and is ideally suited for larger reef aquariums with sufficient sandy areas.

Origin: Indo-Pacific, from Indonesia and Timor to the Western Pacific.
Recommended tank size: from 300 liters.
Behavior: Peaceful to slightly assertive, compatible with many other reef inhabitants.
Food: Frozen food, Artemia, Mysis, small crustaceans, and high-quality granulated food.
Special feature: Requires a sandy bottom for burrowing at night and when stressed. A colorful, useful companion in the reef aquarium that can also decimate unwanted micro-organisms.
