Goldstripe Distichodus – Anostomus ternetzi

The Goldstripe Headstander Wild Caught (Anostomus ternetzi) is an exceptional and lively schooling fish from South America. Particularly striking are its golden-yellow longitudinal stripes, elegant body shape, and the typical oblique swimming behavior characteristic of headstanders.

This interesting wild-caught fish brings a lot of movement and naturalness to larger South American aquariums. When kept in groups, the Goldstripe Headstander displays fascinating social behavior and actively uses all water zones of the aquarium.

🍽️ Feeding:
The Goldstripe Headstander readily accepts frozen food, Artemia, insect larvae, as well as vegetable matter and high-quality granular food. A varied diet supports health and color intensity.

A richly structured setup with roots and stones, along with slightly subdued lighting, encourages natural behavior and beautifully highlights the golden stripes.
