Gobiodon histrio – Coral Goby

The Gobiodon histrio is a small, vividly colored coral goby from the Indo-Pacific. With its bright yellow-green to orange coloration and calm demeanor, it is an interesting inhabitant for well-structured reef aquariums. It prefers to live directly in branched SPS corals and uses them for protection and shelter.

The coral goby is very territorial and usually stays within "its" coral. It is particularly suitable for aquariums with stable SPS populations and peaceful tankmates. Due to its interesting behavior and small size, it is an ideal fish for nano and reef aquariums.
