The Ropefish is a slender, elongated freshwater fish from West Africa. It is characterized by its graceful movements, nocturnal behavior, and the distinctive fin along its back and belly.

Care Instructions:

• Size: Up to approx. 30 cm

• Water parameters: Temperature 24–28 °C, pH 6.5–7.5, soft to medium hard water

• Food: Meaty food such as worms, crustaceans, and live or frozen food

• Behavior: Nocturnal; solitary or in small groups; requires retreats and structured hiding places

• Requires a well-structured aquarium with ample hiding places

• Suitable for experienced aquarists who want to observe nocturnal fish

• Gets along well with robust tank mates, but should not be kept with small, easily catchable fish
