The Flame Angelfish is undoubtedly one of the most popular and colorful inhabitants in saltwater aquariums. With its bright red to orange body and deep black vertical stripes, it is guaranteed to attract all eyes. The glowing blue tips on the dorsal and anal fins create a beautiful contrast.
Origin & Habitat
Centropyge loriculus is native to the tropical Indo-Pacific. The most beautiful and intensely colored specimens usually come from the coral-rich reefs around the Marshall Islands, Hawaii or the Christmas Islands. There, it lives well hidden at depths of up to 60 meters.
Keeping & Care at a Glance:

Aquarium Size: From approx. 300–400 liters

Behavior: Lively, active swimmer, and territorial towards conspecifics. Best kept singly or as an established pair.

Setup: Lots of live rock with plenty of hiding places, caves, and natural algae growth for grazing.

Food: Absolutely uncomplicated eater! Accepts common frozen food (Mysis, Artemia)
