The Half-banded Hemiodus (Hemiodus gracilis) is an elegant and extremely active schooling fish from South America. With its elongated, streamlined body shape and shimmering silver appearance, this exceptional wild-caught fish looks particularly noble and dynamic.

Due to its fast and harmonious swimming behavior, the Half-banded Hemiodus is ideal for large South American aquariums with plenty of open swimming space. Kept in groups, this species exhibits fascinating schooling behavior and brings a lot of movement to the aquarium.
