The Monochrome Spiny Eel is a slender, elongated spiny eel species from freshwater regions of Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its uniform coloration and its calm, nocturnal behavior.

Care Instructions:

• Size: Up to approx. 40–50 cm

• Water parameters: Temperature 24–28 °C, pH 6.5–7.5

• Food: Carnivorous diet such as worms, crustaceans, live or frozen food

• Behavior: Nocturnal, bottom-dwelling; kept alone or in very small groups

Housing Notes:

• Aquarium with soft substrate and many hiding places

• Calm environment, stable water quality necessary

• Suitable for experienced aquarists; not compatible with small fish
