Centropyge colini is one of the rarest and most exceptional dwarf angelfish in the saltwater hobby. With its gentle yellow hue and delicate blue line pattern, it appears unobtrusively elegant and almost ethereal in the reef. As a captive-bred specimen, this species is a true rarity and significantly more stable, readily accepts food, and adapts better to aquarium life than wild-caught specimens.
Colini is a calm, reserved fish that enjoys staying in caves, crevices, and quieter zones of the rockwork. It fits perfectly into harmonious, stress-free reef tanks where no hectic or dominant species prevail.
Advantages of captive breeding:
• Significantly more stable and stress-resistant
• Reliably eats frozen and dry food
• More sustainable alternative to wild-caught fish
• Significantly better acclimatization
Care:
• Well-established, calm reef aquarium
• Many caves, shaded areas, and fine reef structure
• Peaceful tank mates
• Observation regarding coral compatibility recommended
A simple, rare prestige fish with quiet elegance – and as a captive-bred specimen, something truly special for lovers of finely tuned reef tanks.
