Centropyge acanthops – Orangeback Angelfish

The Centropyge acanthops – also known as the Orangeback Dwarf Angelfish – is a beautifully colored small representative of the dwarf angelfish.

In the wild, it lives in small harem groups, consisting of one male and several females. However, keeping them in pairs or groups requires a correspondingly large aquarium.

In the wild, the Orangeback Dwarf Angelfish feeds on algal growth on substrate. Especially filamentous algae are on its menu, but it also readily accepts other food.
