The Burmese Border Loach (Botia histrionica) is a beautiful wild-caught specimen from Myanmar, captivating with its characteristic black and gold pattern and playful, curious behavior. This smaller Botia species is one of the most popular loaches in aquariums and displays fascinating social behavior in groups.

As a peaceful, social bottom-dweller, it loves well-structured tanks with plenty of hiding places, fine sand substrate, and gentle current. Its natural behavior makes it a real highlight for experienced aquarists.
