The Boulengerella cuvieri is a predatory freshwater fish from South America with an elongated body and fast, sharp movements. It exhibits skittish behavior and is sensitive to sudden movements or loud noises.

Care Instructions:

• Size: Up to approx. 45 cm

• Water parameters: Temperature 24–28 °C, pH 6.5–7.5

• Food: Meaty food such as small fish, crustaceans, live or frozen food

• Behavior: Predatory fish, territorial, very skittish; keep individually or in a large tank for multiple specimens

Notes on Keeping:

• Minimum tank length: 250 cm, to provide sufficient swimming space

• Structured hiding places such as caves or densely planted areas

• Do not cohabitate with very small fish

• Only suitable for experienced aquarists
