The Tire-track Spiny Eel "Red Fin" is a colorfully attractive spiny eel species from freshwater regions of South and Southeast Asia. The red fins and the distinctive eyespot on its body are particularly striking.

• Water parameters: Temperature 24–28 °C, pH 6.5–7.5

• Food: Meaty food such as worms, crustaceans, live or frozen food

• Behavior: Bottom-dwelling, nocturnal; prefers individual housing, small groups possible
