Astropyga radiata - Red Sea Urchin

The Astropyga radiata (also known as the Red Diadema Urchin) is a strikingly beautiful sea urchin from the Indo-Pacific. Its long, fine spines and vibrant red to orange coloration with blue accents make it a real eye-catcher in a marine aquarium.

Indo-Pacific, including the Red Sea, Maldives, Indonesia to Hawaii

Temperature Range:
Ideally 24–28 °C (classic tropical marine aquarium)

Note:
Requires plenty of space, stable water parameters, and a well-structured substrate with algal growth for nutrition. Only suitable for experienced marine aquarists.
