Anubias barteri var. nana is one of the most popular small epiphytic plants for aquariums. It impresses with its compact, dark green, leathery leaves and its exceptional robustness. In this variant, it is already tied onto a natural root and is ready for immediate use.

In the aquarium, Anubias nana is not planted in the substrate, but placed on hardscape such as roots or stones. It grows slowly but very reliably on the root and is perfect for the foreground to midground, shady areas, and for aquariums with low to medium lighting. Due to its resilience, it is ideal for beginner, shrimp, and cichlid tanks.
