The Alpheus bellulus, also known as the Pretty Pistol Shrimp, is a fascinating and colorful species of pistol shrimp. The Pretty Pistol Shrimp is particularly known for its characteristic "pistol" – a claw that can snap shut at an extremely high speed, creating a loud, popping sound wave.
