The Pygmy Filefish is a fascinating aquarium inhabitant. With its unique ability to quickly adapt its color and pattern to its surroundings (like algae or rocks), it is a master of camouflage.

 Aiptasia control: It selectively picks annoying Aiptasia (and often Manjanos) from the rocks.

 Important note (Reef safety): As with almost all filefish: As soon as the Aiptasia are eaten or if the fish is not sufficiently fed, it may nip at LPS corals, encrusting anemones (Zoanthus), or clams out of boredom. Regular feeding with frozen food is therefore a must!

 Socialization: It is a peaceful fellow that gets along excellently with other calm reef fish. It is best to keep it individually or as a harmonious pair.
