Acanthurus lineatus – Lined Surgeonfish

The Acanthurus lineatus is a strikingly striped tang with intense yellow and blue lines and a powerful appearance. It is one of the most active swimmers in the reef aquarium and is a real eye-catcher, especially for large tanks. However, due to its dominant behavior, it is more suitable for experienced keepers.

Diet: Algae, periphyton, vegetable supplementary food
Care: Demanding

The lined surgeonfish needs a lot of space, strong currents, and a structured environment. It can be territorial towards other tangs, so careful cohabitation is important. A spectacular but demanding reef inhabitant for large saltwater aquariums.
